Add a user
Invite someone by email to use one of your agents, and manage that agent's members and pending invitations.
Adding a user means inviting someone to use one of your agents. You invite people by their email address; once they accept, they join as a member of that agent and can use it in the app.
This is different from adding a workspace collaborator — see Add an admin for inviting people to the whole workspace. Here you grant access to a single agent, from that agent’s own Members page.
How agent members and invitations work
Each agent has its own list of members. You invite someone by entering their email address and sending the invitation. Until they accept, it stays listed under Pending invitations. Once accepted, the person appears in the members grid with a role badge showing their role (owner / admin / member). You can remove a member, or cancel an invitation that hasn’t been accepted yet, at any time.
Roles are shown but not chosen here. The invite dialog asks only for an email address — there is no role picker. The role labels on the cards are the platform’s built-in role names.

Step by step
1. Open the agent
In Studio, open the agent you want to give access to — either from the Agents group in the left sidebar or from its card on the workspace overview.
2. Open the agent’s Members page
On the agent’s page, click Members in the top-right actions (next to App and Edit). The page is titled Members of your agent and lists everyone who already has access, with the invite card at the end of the grid.
3. Start an invitation
Find the Invite a user card and click Invite. This opens the invitation dialog.
4. Add the email address
- In the Invite a user dialog, type the person’s address in the Email address field.
- Click Add (or press Enter). The address appears as a chip below the field. Repeat to invite several people at once; remove a chip with its ✕ if you added one by mistake.
5. Send the invitation
Click Send. Each address you added receives an invitation to use the agent.
6. Track pending invitations
A sent invitation is listed under Pending invitations (“Invitations already sent for this agent”) until the person accepts it. Each entry shows the invited email and when it was sent.
7. See who has joined
Once someone accepts, they appear in the members grid with their email and a role badge showing their role (for example member).
8. Remove a member
To remove someone, click the trash icon on their card. A confirmation dialog (Remove name?) explains the member will be removed from the agent and that the action cannot be undone — click Remove to confirm. You can’t remove the agent owner or yourself.
9. Cancel a pending invitation
To withdraw an invitation before it’s accepted, click the trash icon on its card under Pending invitations and confirm. This cancels the invitation that was sent to that email.
Tips
- Double-check each Email address before clicking Add — invitations go to exactly what you type.
- Invite several people in one go by adding multiple email chips before Send.
- Agent members are scoped to that agent only. To give someone access to the whole workspace instead, use Add an admin.
Troubleshooting
- The person hasn’t joined yet — their invitation is still under Pending invitations. Ask them to check their inbox; if needed, cancel it and send a new one to the correct address.
- I can’t remove a member — the trash icon isn’t available for the agent owner or for your own account.
- I invited the wrong address — cancel the entry under Pending invitations, then invite the correct email.
- I don’t see the Members button — you need management access to the agent; ask the agent owner or a workspace admin if it isn’t visible.
