Analytics
Read your workspace's conversation analytics — daily conversations, average questions per session, and sessions by category — and filter by agent and date range.
Analytics shows how your agents are being used. It’s a read-only dashboard of conversation metrics for your workspace — how many conversations happen, how engaged users are, and how sessions break down by category — that you can filter by agent and by date range.
You open it from Analytics in the left sidebar of Studio. The dashboard covers the whole workspace; each conversation agent also has its own Analytics view, reached from the agent’s page.
What the dashboard shows
The page has a filter row at the top right and three charts:
- Conversations per day — the number of conversational sessions started each day.
- Avg. user questions per session — the average number of user messages per session, per day.
- Sessions per day by category — a stacked bar chart splitting daily session volume by conversation category.
Each chart shows a headline number and a bar chart over the selected period. The charts read the sessions your agents have had, so a brand-new workspace with no conversations yet will show empty or zero data.

Step by step
1. Open Analytics
In Studio, open the left sidebar and select Analytics. The dashboard opens for your whole workspace.
2. Read the filter row
At the top right you’ll find two controls: an agent filter and a Date range picker. They apply to every chart below.
3. Filter by agent
Use the agent dropdown to focus on a single agent, or keep All agents to see the whole workspace combined.
4. Choose the period
Open the Date range picker and pick a period (it defaults to the last 7 days). All charts update to that range.
5. Conversations per day
The Conversations per day chart shows how many conversational sessions started each day, with Total conversations as the headline number for the period.
6. Avg. user questions per session
The Avg. user questions per session chart shows the average number of user messages per session — a measure of how much back-and-forth each conversation involves.
7. Sessions per day by category
The Sessions per day by category chart stacks each day’s sessions by conversation category, with a color-coded legend. Sessions without a category appear as Uncategorized. With All agents selected, categories are combined across every agent.
Tips
- Start with All agents for the big picture, then filter to one agent to spot which agents drive the most activity.
- Compare periods by changing the Date range — for example this week vs. last week.
- The by category chart is most useful once your conversation agents use categories; otherwise most sessions fall under Uncategorized.
- Each conversation agent also has its own Analytics view (from the agent’s page) if you want to drill into a single agent.
Troubleshooting
- I don’t see Analytics in the sidebar — Analytics is an optional feature; it may not be enabled for your workspace. Ask your workspace Owner or an Admin if it’s missing.
- The charts are empty — there may be no conversations in the selected period. Widen the Date range, or check that the selected agent has had sessions.
- Everything is Uncategorized — categories come from your conversation agents’ configuration; sessions are only split out once agents assign categories.
- The dates look English — chart date labels are currently shown in a fixed English format regardless of the interface language.
